So today while I was trying to organize my room, my Mom and I gave tigger a bath.
I guess your wondering how this all started. Well, my Mom has two handicapped brothers, (my uncles) and their names are Shawn and Tracy. They both participate in special olympics, and have a lot of fun doing it. Tracy is a little more cordinated with his hands than Shawn, but Tracy cannot dance while Shawn can. Shawn has always been known for dropping or spilling things, he can be VERY clumsy at times. My mom does independant living with Shawn and Tracy to help them learn how to cook, clean, shop by themselves, and many other independant skills. Today Shawn came over for independent living, and my mom made mixed fruit shakes for all of us (which included blueberries). As I was sitting down playing on the computer, Link (our new foster kitten,) and Tigger were out playing with each other. Shawn was sitting in our recliner with a shake in his hand, and spotted a string on the floor and started playing with them. Tigger jumped at Shawns hand and caught his claw in Shawns pinky. Shawn used the hand that he had his shake in to try and pry Tigger off of him and spilled the shake all over the floor and Tigger. I went "oh crap!" and ran to get some towels while I told my mom what happened. While my mom and I were trying to get the shake off of the carpet before it stained, my mom noticed Link licking Tiggers tail, which had the shake all over it. So my Mom went and got the carpet cleaner and scrubbed the floor, and I tried to wipe Tiggers tail off with a wet washrag. Tiggers fur, which was very matted, just soaked up the shake, and I couldn't get it out. So I went and got some tape, and taped tigger's paws with my Mom's help. Tigger was freaking out by this point and his claws went strait through the tape and he attached himself to me. My mom filled the sink with soapy water and we unsuccessfully dunked tigger in the water. Tigger bit me as hard as he could, so we moved him from the sink, to the counter right next to it. So we started scrubbing him on the counter with dirty water dripping on the floor. We held him over the sink to rinse him, and I ran to get towels. I dried tigger off, removed the tape from his paws, and stuck him in his bathroom. Bathing cats is one of the most difficult things I have ever tried to do. Make sure you have supervision, or at least three people helping you, if you ever plan on bathing a cat who hates water. Cats claws are dangerous weapons... trust me, I know...
P.S. I figured out my color pallet for my room! YAY! So now I am figuring out what things I would like to keep in my room... so much fun... *sigh*
